Best colleges for computer engineering in Georgia?

I'm a high school junior looking at colleges in Georgia for computer engineering. Any suggestions on which schools have strong computer engineering programs? I'd love to hear about any experiences or insights you might have!

In Georgia, there are several schools well-known for their strong computer engineering programs.

1. Georgia Tech: Georgia Institute of Technology is notably recognized for its computer engineering program and is generally considered the best in the state. The program is part of the College of Engineering, which is nationally ranked. Students in the computer engineering program take classes bridging hardware and software, with courses in subjects like circuits, software design, as well as basic programming.

2. University of Georgia: While UGA is better recognized for its Liberal Arts and Business programs, it also offers a solid Computer Systems Engineering program.

3. Kennesaw State University: KSU's Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology has a reputable computer engineering program that offers helpful hands-on learning experiences through labs and internships.

In terms of the environment, all three schools have different settings and vibes. Georgia Tech is in a city setting which allows access to various resources and potential internships. UGA, on the other hand, has a vibrant campus culture with a strong sports spirit, and Kennesaw State provides a more suburban setting.

It's important that you not only consider the academic strength of these programs but also the type of campus experience you're looking for. You may want to look into visiting these campuses if you haven't done so already. Also, consider reaching out directly to the departments of your interest to ask specific questions relating to your career goals.
