When you're looking at top engineering programs in Florida, there are definitely several schools you should consider:

1. University of Florida (UF): UF's Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering has been consistently ranked amongst the top engineering schools not only in the country, but also in the world. The college offers a wide range of engineering disciplines such as Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Aerospace engineering.

2. Florida Institute of Technology (FIT): Known for its emphasis on science and engineering, FIT offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs in Aerospace, Biomedical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical engineering and more.

3. Florida State University (FSU): FSU's College of Engineering, a joint program with Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, also offers a number of robust engineering programs with well-equipped research facilities.

4. University of Central Florida (UCF): UCF's College of Engineering and Computer Science is one of the largest in the U.S. and offers a variety of programs in fields such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Aerospace Engineering.

5. University of Miami (UM): The college of Engineering at UM offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in areas like Civil, Architectural, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering. They offer a stimulating learning environment and ample research opportunities.

Each of these universities has its own strengths and unique offerings, so I would suggest researching each option to learn more about their specific programs. Remember to consider factors such as size, location, potential advisors, and culture, as well as specific courses and research opportunities, as you make your decision.
