Best mechanical engineering programs in New Jersey?

I'm a high school junior interested in mechanical engineering, thinking of applying to schools in New Jersey. I want to know which colleges offer the best opportunities for undergrads in this major. Any advice?

New Jersey indeed has some reputable institutions for studying Mechanical Engineering at the undergraduate level:

- Princeton University: While known for its liberal arts emphasis, Princeton's School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) has a strong Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department and is top-rated nationally. The diverse areas of research offered and the strong emphasis on integrating engineering into a robust liberal arts curriculum provide both depth and breadth to undergraduates.

- Rutgers University: The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department in Rutgers offers undergraduate students opportunities for research, internship, and co-op experiences. The university is also home to several engineering-specific research centers and institutes.

- New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT): NJIT's Newark College of Engineering provides a very strong program in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on experiential learning through co-ops, internships, and undergraduate research experiences.

- Stevens Institute of Technology: It offers a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and stresses innovation and entrepreneurship within its curriculum. There are also opportunities for Mechanical Engineering undergraduates to participate in cutting-edge research.

Each of these schools has unique strengths and offers different experiences, so you should consider what aspects of a Mechanical Engineering program are most important to you.
