Best colleges in NJ for aerospace engineering?

I'm a high school junior interested in pursuing aerospace engineering in college, and I live in New Jersey. What are some of the best colleges in NJ where I could study aerospace engineering? Any recommendations would be really helpful!

While New Jersey does not have a multitude of options for aerospace engineering, there are a couple of noteworthy institutions in the state and some closeby in neighboring states that you might want to consider:

1. Rutgers University, New Brunswick: Rutgers' School of Engineering offers a major in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. The curriculum dives deep into the principles of aerospace engineering and equips students with strong analytic, design, and experimental skills. You can look forward to joining organizations such as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) student chapter, which routinely competes in the Design-Build-Fly competition.

Nearby out-of-state options include:

1. University of Maryland, College Park: UMD is just a few hours away from New Jersey and has one of the top Aerospace Engineering programs in the nation. Merit-based scholarships are available for out-of-state students, which might help offset the higher tuition costs.

2. Pennsylvania State University: Not very far from NJ, Penn State University offers a revered Aerospace Engineering program. Here, you'll get a chance to be involved in cutting-edge research and join a variety of aerospace student organizations.

Remember, when considering colleges, fit is very important. Be sure to take factors like size, location, and culture into account when compiling your college list.
