I'm considering a career in exercise science and want to stay in New York for college. Any recommendations for schools with strong exercise science programs? Info on internship opportunities would be great too.

New York State is home to a number of schools with strong exercise science programs that could match your criteria.

1. Cornell University: Located in Ithaca, Cornell offers a top-tier undergraduate degree program in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Human Nutrition, which might be quite relevant if you're interested in exercise science. It's also a recognized Ivy League institution known for its world-class faculty and resources.

2. University at Buffalo: Their Exercise Science program is quite popular and includes opportunities for internships and research projects. In addition, their program prepares you for further studies in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or even Physician's Assistant if this interests you.

3. Syracuse University: They have a well-regarded Health and Exercise Science program and students in the program can also apply to be strength and conditioning interns for the varsity athletic teams. Syracuse's robust athletics program provides opportunities to actually work with athletes and to get practical experience.

4. Ithaca College: At Ithaca, you will find an Exercise Science program that gives you the chance to intern at a multitude of locations including various health clinics, schools, and sports organizations. Their strong connection with local organizations can help you gain practical experience while studying.

Each of these programs offers hands-on internships and experiential learning, propelling you a step closer to your career in exercise science. However, you should visit each school's website to get a more comprehensive understanding of the program specifics and how they might align with your career goals. Also, CollegeVine has a college search tool that could be beneficial to compare these colleges in more detail, including comparing factors like size, location, academic rigor, and more.
