Top science colleges in the Northeast?

I'm looking into colleges for a science major in the Northeast region of the US. What are some of the top schools I should consider? I'm open to suggestions across various states in that area.

Certainly, the Northeast is home to many excellent universities known for strong programs in the sciences. Here are a few you might want to consider:

1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, MA, is world-renowned for its science and engineering programs.

2. Harvard University, also in Cambridge, has strong natural science programs and is renowned for its research opportunities.

3. Princeton University in New Jersey has strong programs in Physics and Biology and offers a very robust undergraduate research program.

4. Columbia University in New York City offers excellent opportunities for research and education in various branches of science through its College of Arts and Sciences.

5. Yale University in New Haven, CT is another Ivy League university known for its strong programs in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

6. Cornell University in Ithaca, NY has great programs in Biological Sciences and Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.

7. The University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia, PA also offers programs across various areas of sciences.

These universities typically have strong research programs and offer plenty of opportunities for undergraduate students to get involved in exciting research projects. Remember, though, that where you should apply also depends on other factors, such as campus culture, size, financial considerations, etc. that may be important to you. So, it's essential to look beyond the program rankings to find a school that is the right fit for you.
