Hey! I'm looking at the CUNY schools and I'm curious about which one is the best for environmental science. If anyone has any insights or personal experiences with the programs, that would be super helpful!

CUNY (City University of New York) system is a network of public colleges in New York City, and several of them offer excellent programs in Environmental Science.

At the forefront, Hunter College is notable for its Environmental Studies program. Their curriculum covers many areas like urban ecosystems, conservation, environmental policy, and climate change, among others. This broad selection enables students to tailor their studies according to their career aspirations. Hunter offers both B.A. and B.S. options, depending on whether you want a broader liberal arts approach or a more deep-dive, science-intensive experience, respectively.

Also notable is City College (CCNY). They offer a B.S. in Environmental Earth Resources Science with a focus on Environmental Science, Geology, or Geophysics. The program has strengths in research as it encourages students to undertake environmental research projects under the guidance of faculty members.

Brooklyn College also has a strong Environmental Science program, offering both B.A. and B.S. degrees, and they have a well-regarded Earth and Environmental Sciences department.

Lastly, Queens College offers an Environmental Studies program which may be of interest. This program is interdisciplinary, meaning it integrates approaches from natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities to offer students a holistic understanding of environmental issues.

Always remember to dig deeper into each college's course offerings, faculty, and job placements, and graduate school admissions histories of their graduates. This will give you a more robust understanding of which program might best suit you. Good luck with your application process!
