Suggestions for colleges with engineering and marching band?

I'm on the lookout for engineering colleges that also have a decent marching band. I want to continue playing while studying engineering. Any ideas on where I can combine both passions?

Absolutely, there are many colleges and universities where you could study engineering while also participating in the marching band. Here are a few:

1. Purdue University: Purdue is known for its strong engineering programs. Their "All-American" Marching Band is one of the oldest in the nation and performs at all home football games.

2. Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech): This school has highly-regarded engineering programs and the marching band is quite popular on campus. Their band, "The Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Marching Band," performs at football games and other student events.

3. University of Michigan: UMich has an acclaimed College of Engineering. They also have the Michigan Marching Band, which is quite popular and regularly performs at football games.

4. Ohio State University: Their College of Engineering is well-regarded, plus they have one of the most recognized marching bands in the country, "The Ohio State University Marching Band."

5. University of Southern California (USC): USC is home to the Viterbi School of Engineering and the Spirit of Troy, the Trojan Marching Band.

You should definitely reach out to the band directors at these schools to learn more about their marching programs, as well as the departments of engineering, and get a sense of what studying there might be like. Prioritizing your passions can make university a much more enjoyable and rewarding experience!
