I'm trying to learn more about the job role of a production manager. What kind of responsibilities do they have, and how does one become a production manager? Is this a role that requires significant experience in production?

They are predominantly in charge of ensuring that goods and services are produced safely, cost-effectively, and on time.

Their day-to-day responsibilities can include:

1. Planning and implementing production schedules to meet output goals.

2. Monitoring and adjusting schedules as needed.

3. Coordinating with different departments, like procurement and quality control, to optimize operations.

4. Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.

5. Overseeing product quality and addressing any issues.

6. Managing and allocating resources, such as personnel, equipment, and materials.

7. Implementing cost reduction measures without compromising quality.

8. Engaging in employee hiring, training, and development.
