Highest Paying Vocational Jobs

I'm trying to figure out which vocational jobs offer the highest pay. Does anyone know what kinds of jobs I should be looking into?

There are a number of vocational roles that offer high salaries, some of which might be surprising. Keep in mind that pay can vary depending on factors such as location, level of experience and the specific industry.

1. Air Traffic Controller: These professionals are in charge of directing aircraft to ensure safety on the ground and in the air. While it requires specific training and licensing, the median salary often surpasses $100,000.

2. Radiation Therapist: They work in the medical field and specialize in administering radiation therapy to cancer patients. Typically, a 2-year associate degree in radiation therapy is required though some states might need additional licensing. The median income also stands above $80,000 annually.

3. Elevator Installer/Repairer: This job involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of elevators, escalators, moving walkways and similar equipment. Although it requires an apprenticeship, it's one of the best-paid vocational jobs, with salaries often reaching into six figures.

4. Nuclear Medicine Technologist: These professionals prepare and administer radioactive drugs for patients who are undergoing scans in a medical setting. You'll typically need an associate degree in nuclear medicine technology, and the median annual wage is notably high.

5. Plumber: Plumbers are always in high demand, and people in this trade can make a good income, especially as they gain more experience or if they specialize in areas like pipefitting.

These are just a few examples. Remember, many vocational jobs offer stability and high incomes without the need for a four-year degree. Additionally, many of these fields are expected to grow in the future, so opportunities for job security are high.
