Colleges Offering Great Engineering and Music Programs?

So, I'm into both engineering and music, and I'm searching for colleges that offer solid programs in both fields. I'd love to be able to study both in a manageable way. What schools should I consider?

Consider universities like Carnegie Mellon, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the University of Southern California (USC).

Carnegie Mellon is renowned for its College of Engineering, offering promising programs across various engineering disciplines. On the music front, they have a well-reputed School of Music with majors like performance, composition, conducting, music production, and more. Plus, they offer a Bachelor of Science in Music and Technology where engineering students could potentially incorporate their music interests alongside their core scientific studies.

Similarly, MIT, despite its goliath reputation in the tech and engineering fields, has a surprisingly vibrant music department. They offer the most extensive music program available at a technological institute and even allow students to pursue a double major in music and engineering if they wish.

USC's Viterbi School of Engineering is one of the top engineering schools in the U.S., and its Thornton School of Music is equally reputable. They offer unique programs at the blend of both like Music production, which could be interesting for someone with tech and music interests.

These are just a few examples, and the choice ultimately boils down to your specific preferences in music and engineering. Have a clear understanding of what interdisciplinary programs or major options are available and how they align with your career aspirations. You should also consider other factors such as university location, size, culture, and financial aid/scholarship opportunities when making your final list.
