Best Cambridge College for Aspiring Engineers?

I'm considering applying to Cambridge for my engineering degree. Can someone share which colleges within Cambridge are known for having the strongest engineering programs? Thanks in advance for the help!

In Cambridge, the engineering program, like all other courses of study, is structured centrally and not by individual colleges. This means that your experience studying Engineering would be the same regardless of which college you're a part of because lectures, lab sessions, and exams are all coordinated by the university's Department of Engineering.

However, some colleges have more study resources available, like better libraries or more resident Fellows in engineering to offer personal supervisions. For instance, Trinity College and St. John's College are particularly renowned for their strong commitment and resources towards Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects, including Engineering. They have several Engineering Fellows and a rich intellectual tradition in the field. Besides, these colleges also offer numerous scholarships and prestigious engineering prizes.

Gonville & Caius and Churchill Colleges are also favorites amongst engineering students due to their emphasis on STEM. Specifically, Churchill College was actually founded with a core focus on science and engineering, and they offer several scholarships for those subjects.

That being said, the college experience is about more than just your prospects in engineering. You might want to consider other aspects like college size, accommodation, facilities, location, and the overall vibe, which can significantly influence your experience at Cambridge too.

I hope this information helps you while choosing a college at the University of Cambridge. Good luck!
