What are the best states to study in the USA as an international student?

I'm an international student planning to study in the USA, and I want to choose the best state for my studies. Can anyone suggest states known for their universities and international student support?

Choosing a state to study largely depends on what you are looking for in terms of academic support, cost of living, and quality of life. That being said, consider these five states known for their excellent universities and international student support:

1. California: Home to a diverse range of schools from large public institutions like the University of California system to private ones like Stanford and USC. Moreover, California offers a diverse cultural experience and a livable climate.

2. New York: It is known for having renowned universities such as Columbia University, New York University, and Cornell University. The state also offers a multitude of cultural experiences particularly in New York City.

3. Massachusetts: This state is home to two of the world's top universities, Harvard and MIT, and other excellent institutions like Boston University and Amherst College. Massachusetts has rich history and is known for its strong support towards education.

4. Illinois: Aside from the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, University of Illinois is also a top destination for international students.

5. Pennsylvania: The state hosts top notch universities such as University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University, and Pennsylvania State University. The cost of living in Pennsylvania is also relatively lower than in many other states.

Each of these states has a considerable international student community and offers resources and support accordingly, making life and transition easier for international students. But remember, the 'best' state will heavily depend on personal factors too like your field of study, financial situation, and personal tastes, so also take those into account.
