What's the job description for a camp counselor?

I'm considering working as a camp counselor next summer, and I'm curious about what the actual responsibilities are. What do camp counselors usually do and what skills do I need to have? Is it mostly about looking after kids?

They typically stay overnight with the kids and may sleep in the same cabins.

Activity Facilitation: Camp counselors lead and participate in a wide range of activities, such as arts & crafts, sports, team-building exercises, games, and outdoor expeditions like hiking or canoeing. Their role involves making sure everyone is engaged and having fun while adhering to safety protocols.

3. Problem-Solving: Camp counselors often mediate any issues that arise, including conflicts between campers. This involves teaching conflict resolution skills and fostering a harmonious environment for everyone.
