What's considered the easiest course to study in the USA?

I'm looking into studying in the USA, but I'm not sure which courses are known to be less intense. Are there subjects that are generally considered easier in terms of workload or grading?

Studying in the USA provides a variety of intriguing courses and programs to choose from, each one fulfilling unique academic interests. When speaking of the "easiest" course or major, it's crucial to keep in mind that what may seem easy for one person could be challenging for another, depending on their strengths, passions, and prior knowledge.

That being said, certain majors are typically regarded as less demanding compared to others. For instance, Education and Social Work are often cited as having more manageable workload with regards to the number of assignments and internships required. Similarly, Communication and English majors often have a reputation for being relatively easier because they are less likely to involve complex calculations or intensive lab work, focusing more on reading, writing, and discussion.

However, this doesn't mean the above-listed majors are academically lighter; they too encompass areas of challenging academic exploration, research, and critical thinking. Also, grades in these programs are often determined by subjective components like essays and presentations, unlike STEM subjects, where grading is typically more concrete.

It's most important to choose a course of study that matches your interests, strengths, and future goals. Doing so will lead you to find the material more engaging, and thus easier to grasp and excel in, no matter the perceived difficulty or workload. Each subject has its unique set of challenges and expectations, and what appears easy or hard can be very subjective and may depend on each individual's strengths, interests, and career goals.
