What are some trade school jobs that pay well?

I'm considering going to a trade school instead of taking the college path. What are some trade school jobs that have high earning potential? I'd love to know what options are out there that offer good pay.

There are certainly many trade school jobs that pay well and have promising career growth. Here are some examples:

1. Plumber: A licensed plumber can earn a great income, especially as they gain experience and move into more specialized roles. They inspect, install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

2. Electrician: Electricians are always in demand. They install and repair electrical power, lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses, and factories, ensuring that work is in line with relevant codes.

3. HVAC Technician: These specialists focus on installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. As energy efficiency becomes an ever-greater concern, specialists in this field are increasingly sought after.

4. Dental Hygienist: This job requires a good understanding of oral health and can be a very rewarding option. Dental hygienists clean teeth, examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis, and provide other preventive dental care.

5. Radiologic and MRI Technologists: These professionals perform diagnostic imaging examinations, such as x-rays or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Jobs in healthcare like these can pay well and have higher demand due to an aging population.

6. Aviation Maintenance Technician: Sometimes known as airplane mechanics, these techs perform scheduled maintenance and make repairs on aircraft.

Remember, the earning potential of a position depends a great deal on location, experience, specialization, and certificate level. What's important is to choose a field that aligns with your strengths and interests. Each trade school job involves different daily tasks, work environments, and required skills, so it's helpful to thoroughly research any potential careers you're interested in. Starting with an internship or apprenticeship to gain hands-on experience in a trade is a practical way to explore if it's a good fit for you.
