Great question! The answer can vary depending on your interests and skills, but there are certainly many trade jobs that are in demand and provide good wages.

1. Electrician: Electricians are always needed for everything from residential wiring to large industrial projects. Even with the growth of solar and wind energy, the need for electricians who can install and maintain these systems is increasing.

2. Plumber: Plumbing is another trade that is always in demand. Whether it's fixing leaks, installing pipes in new constructions, or working on large-scale municipal systems, plumbers can earn a very good living.

3. HVAC Technician: As the name suggests, they install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems.

4. Welder: Welders play a crucial role in various industries like construction, automotive, and aerospace. There's a consistent need for skilled welders, and it's a career that can offer a good wage.

5. Elevator Mechanic: Elevator mechanics install, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and other lifts. This job is on the higher end of the pay scale for trade jobs.

Remember, many trade jobs require a certification program or apprenticeship which can take 1-5 years to complete, depending on the field. It might be a good idea to shadow a professional in these fields or get a part-time job to see if this is something you’re really interested in before fully committing to a program. Good luck!
