What are the best trade jobs for introverts?

I'm an introvert considering trade school options, and I'm wondering which trade jobs might be a good fit for someone with introverted tendencies. Any ideas on which careers allow for more independent or quiet work environments?

There are quite a few trades that would likely be suitable for someone with introverted tendencies. Here are some that might interest you:

1. Commercial Driving: Truck drivers, for instance, spend many hours alone on the road. Most of their interactions happen at pick-up and drop-off points, making it a good option for those who prefer solitude.

2. Welding: This generally requires a fair amount of concentration and focus, resulting in a work environment in which workers often are given space to complete their tasks independently.

3. Electrician: While you'll sometimes work as part of a team, many electricians spend a significant amount of time working alone on complex electrical systems. Additionally, electricians often have to problem-solve independently, which could be appealing if you value autonomy in your work.

4. Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Technician: This is a more tech-centric trade, where you'll be drafting detailed drawings or plans for projects on a computer. Much of the work can often be done independently.

5. Landscaping or Horticulture: Many introverts enjoy careers in horticulture or landscaping, where they can work either independently or in small teams in an outdoor environment. If you enjoy nature, this might be a nice fit.

However, remember that almost any career has both solitary and collaborative elements. Additionally, introverted people can excel in roles that involve interacting with others as well. It all depends on what feels comfortable for you. I'd suggest exploring different trades and perhaps even shadowing professionals in these fields to get a sense of what the day-to-day work is like.
