Most in-demand trade jobs right now

I'm seriously considering going into a trade after high school. Can anyone tell me which skilled trades are super in demand right now? Trying to make a smart choice for a good career path.

There are several skilled trade professions currently in high demand due to factors like labor shortages and infrastructure development. Here are some:

1. Electricians: Electricians are more and more in demand as the world becomes more dependent on electronic systems. Additionally, electricians are key in the transition towards renewable energy, working on things like solar panel installation and energy storage.

2. Plumber: Every building, no matter how it's powered, needs plumbing. As such, plumbers are always in high demand. The industry is especially calling for more licensed and skilled plumbers.

3. HVAC Technician: HVAC technicians, who work on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, are needed to work in both residential and commercial buildings. Their expertise is especially valued in complex projects such as green buildings and smart homes.

4. Carpenter: Carpenters construct and repair building frameworks and structures. With the current boom in real estate and increasing renovation projects, skilled carpenters are highly sought after.

5. Welder: Welders are instrumental in various industries, such as manufacturing, repair and maintenance, and construction. Despite advancements in automation, some welding tasks still require human skill and judgment.

6. Lineman: Linemen, who work on the infrastructure that transmits electricity, have been in constant demand due to the continual need for maintenance and upgrading electrical power systems. The migration towards renewable energy sources is an added factor increasing the demand for linemen.

Remember, a high-demand trade job doesn't automatically mean it's the right career path for you. Consider your interests, strengths, and long-term career goals when making this decision. Trade schools and apprenticeships offer practical training and experience, allowing you to smoothly transition into your desired profession.
