What trades are considered the best jobs?

I'm trying to get a sense of which trade jobs might offer the best long-term career potential. Are there certain trades that people tend to find rewarding or lucrative over time?

There are several trade jobs that hold great potential for both personal fulfillment and financial gain.

1. Electrician: Electricians often have steady work as most buildings need electrical systems and maintenance. They also have the potential for high salaries, especially with specialization and experience. This trade also provides continuous learning as technology evolves.

2. Plumber: Similar to electricians, plumbers are always in demand due to the need for installation and repair of plumbing systems in homes and commercial properties. Plumbing can be complex, and individuals with a strong understanding of the trade can earn a significant income.

3. HVAC Technician: With the increasing reliance on climate control systems in both residential and commercial properties, HVAC technicians are essential. Their skills are always in demand and this job can be financially beneficial, especially in areas with extreme climates.

4. Elevator Mechanic: This is a specialized trade, which often leads to high income due to the level of technical expertise required and it is a unionized profession in many places.

5. Wind Turbine Technician: As renewable energy becomes more prominent, wind turbine technicians are needed to install and repair wind turbines. Above-average job growth is projected for this trade over the next decade.

6. Construction Manager: While this position often requires experience in the construction industry, it can be very lucrative. It components includes overseeing construction projects and ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

These are just a few examples, and "best" is relative -- it really depends on your individual interests and what you find rewarding. It's important to do your own research and perhaps even shadow professionals in these fields to get a better understanding of what the day-to-day work entails. Remember, while financial compensation is a factor, job satisfaction also significantly contributes to the perception of a "best" job.
