Acceptance rate insights for Johns Hopkins Early Decision II?

Does anyone have any intel on the acceptance rate for Johns Hopkins if applying through Early Decision II? I'm trying to figure out if applying this way could give me a better chance of getting accepted there.

Sure, getting familiar with an institution's admission statistics can be a valuable pathway as it guides your decision-making process. Johns Hopkins University, similar to other universities, does not explicitly publish separate acceptance rates for Early Decision I (ED I) and Early Decision II (ED II). However, overall, the Early Decision acceptance rate has traditionally been higher than the Regular Decision rate.

If historical patterns persist, it's expected that the Early Decision II acceptance rate should be similar to Early Decision I, probably hovering somewhere around 20-30%. This is noticeably higher than the overall acceptance rate which is around 10-12%.

Applying Early Decision II does show a commitment to the school as it's a binding agreement, and that can potentially boost your chances of admission as compared to Regular Decision. However, keep in mind that Johns Hopkins has a very competitive applicant pool, and a significant number of spots are often filled in the Early Decision I round as well.

It's also important to note that even with the prospect of higher acceptance rate in ED II, Johns Hopkins is still very selective; solid academic performance and a well-rounded application remain critical components of the admissions process.
