Villanova Early Action Rollover

If I apply to Villanova through early action but get rolled to regular decision, will I still be considered in the regular decision cycle? I want to make sure I understand how their process works.

Yes, if you apply to Villanova University under the non-binding Early Action (EA) admission plan and your application is deferred, it effectively 'rolls over' into the Regular Decision (RD) pool. This means that your application will be re-reviewed along with the RD applicants.

Being deferred doesn't necessarily mean a negative outcome, so you should still hold some hope for the RD round. Sometimes EA applications are deferred because admissions officers simply need more time or information to make a decision. In the meantime, it can be beneficial to keep the college updated with any significant new achievements, awards, or grades that may strengthen your case.

Remember that the decision, whether EA or RD, is based on the quality of your application compared with that of the entire pool of candidates. But also, remember that being deferred also allows the college to see more of your senior year academic performance, which can potentially work to your advantage.
