MIT regular action decision release timeframe?

I'm both excited and nervous about hearing back from MIT for regular action. Can anyone provide details on when they usually send out these decisions? Any tips on handling the wait would also be great!

Sure thing! MIT typically releases their Regular Decision results in mid-March. While there is no exact date given each year, you can expect your notification around the middle of the month.

As for handling the anticipation, here are a few tips:

1. Keep busy: Engage in your favorite activities, continue to work hard at school, and keep investing time in the things and people you love. This not only helps time pass more quickly, but also allows you to cope with stress effectively.

2. Avoid excessive speculation: It's a natural tendency to over-analyze things while you're anxiously waiting for college decisions. But keep in mind that, at this point, the decision is out of your hands. Consuming all your energy and time on predicting outcomes won't alter the result.

3. Prepare for all outcomes: Of course, we all hope for the best, but remember that there are several good colleges out there for you. If you haven't yet, it's a good idea to explore several options so that you're prepared for any outcome.

4. Reach out to your support system: Talk to family, teachers, and friends about your apprehensions. They can provide a fresh perspective, encouragement, and advice on how to handle the suspense.

And last but not least, remember to take care of yourself during this time. It can be stressful, but try to stay positive and keep things in perspective. Good luck!
