When do regular decision applicants find out their results?

I'm applying regular decision to a couple of universities, and I'm curious about when I might hear back. Does anyone know when regular decision results are typically released for most schools? Trying to plan accordingly!

Regular decision timelines can vary quite a bit depending on the school. Generally, most universities release their regular decision results between mid-March and late April. Here's a basic outline of what you might expect:

1. Mid-March: Numerous universities send out notifications during this period. It's often around the middle of March, but it can range anywhere from early to late March.

2. April 1: This is a common notification date for many schools.

3. By late April: Some schools may take a bit longer and release their decisions anytime in April.

4. May 1: This is universally considered the National College Decision Day; by this day, everyone should have their regular decision results and typically need to commit to a school.

Again, these are broad strokes, and it's a good idea to check the specific universities you're applying to for their estimated decision release dates. They usually provide this information on the admissions page of their website. You'll also want to keep an eye on your communication from each university. Many will send an email when your application decision is ready to view, so be sure to check your inbox regularly.
