Does NJIT offer scholarships for regular decision applicants?

I'm thinking of applying to NJIT through regular decision and I'm wondering if they offer any scholarships for regular decision applicants. Any info on the types of scholarships or how difficult it is to get one?

Absolutely, the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) does indeed offer scholarships to regular decision applicants. Your eligibility is determined when you apply and is primarily based on academic merit. There's no separate application process for most of these scholarships, which means the scholarship committee will use your application, high school transcript and SAT/ACT scores, if submitted, to determine eligibility.

The types of scholarships at NJIT range quite a bit. You have university-wide merit-based scholarships like the Honors Merit Awards and the Dean's Scholarship, which are for high achievers and usually cover partial to full tuition respectively. There are also scholarships dedicated to students interested in specific fields of study, such as the Albert Dorman Honors College Scholarships. You can learn more about available NJIT scholarships here: https://www.njit.edu/financialaid/scholarships.

Please note that even though these scholarships are quite generous, they are also competitive due to the number of high-achieving students applying to NJIT. This emphasizes the importance of focusing on your grades and extracurricular activities, which can help distinguish you from other applicants.

Some scholarships may require additional materials such as an essay or an interview, so always do your due diligence and check NJIT's official scholarship webpage or contact the financial aid office directly for the most accurate information. Also bear in mind that filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible will ensure you're considered for the maximum amount of aid.
