What's the latest SAT date I can use for regular decision applications?

I'm taking the SAT soon and want to make sure the score is back in time for my regular decision applications. What's the last test date accepted for regular decision by most colleges?

Typically, for most colleges, the December SAT administration is usually the last test date that will be accepted for regular decision applications. You'll receive your scores typically within two weeks of the test date, which aligns with the most regular decision deadlines being January 1st or later. However, some colleges do accept the January SAT scores as well, especially those that have deadlines later in January or February.

Even though many colleges accept scores from the January SAT for regular decision, it's highly recommended that you take the SAT no later than December if you're applying regular decision. This way, you allow yourself plenty of time to send your scores to colleges and ensure they are received before the deadlines.

However, please keep in mind that this can vary by college. It's always a good idea to double-check the SAT submission deadlines on the colleges' websites you're interested in applying to make sure you don't miss it.
