When is regular decision due for college in general?

Hey, I'm trying to get a general sense of when I need to have my college applications in. Does anyone know the common regular decision deadlines for most schools? I'm trying to plan out my application schedule. Thanks!

Regular decision deadlines for college applications generally fall between January 1st and February 1st. That said, deadlines can vary widely among institutions, with some as early as December and others as late as March.

It’s also important to note that some colleges have Rolling Admissions, where you can apply anytime within a large window and expect a decision relatively quickly. Schools with rolling admission policies can start taking applications as early as August or September and continue to accept applications often into the spring until all spots are filled.

I'd recommend that you verify each institution's specific deadline on their official website, or through resources such as CollegeVine. Organizing your application schedule by using a spreadsheet or planner can be helpful. This allows you to keep track of application materials, progress, and deadlines for each school you're considering, and ensure you remain on track with your application strategy.

Remember to allow for ample time to write essays, gather letters of recommendation, and complete all necessary components of your application before the deadline. It's always better to submit your applications well before the deadlines, as this gives you some room to deal with unexpected obstacles. Best of luck with your college applications!
