Colby College regular decision 2024-2025 deadlines and process?

As I prepare my application, I'm trying to nail down all the important dates. When is the regular decision deadline for Colby College in the 2024-2025 cycle, and are there any particular things I should keep in mind?

For the 2024-2025 application cycle, the regular decision deadline for Colby College is January 3rd, 2025. Remember to submit all required application materials by this deadline.

For a successful application, you will need to submit a few key pieces:

- The Common Application, Coalition Application, or QuestBridge Application, which will include a required personal essay.

- A Secondary School Report with counselor recommendation. This is typically sent from your school counseling office, so be sure to remind your counselor about the deadline!

- A Mid-Year Report. Your counselor will need to send this as soon as your first semester/trimester grades are available.

- Two Academic Teacher Evaluations. It's generally good to ask teachers that you've had junior or senior year who taught you in a core academic subject (English, Math, Social Sciences, Sciences, or Foreign Language).

- Official high school transcript(s).

Note: Colby College is a test-optional school, meaning you have the choice of submitting your SAT or ACT scores, or not. Due to the test-optional policy, you've the flexibility to decide whether your test scores accurately reflect your academic potential. If you do choose to submit scores, you can self-report them on the application, and only submit official scores if you're admitted and decide to attend.

Remember to double-check all the information on Colby's official website or get in touch with the school's admissions office in case there are changes or additional requirements. Good luck with your application!
