Swarthmore Regular Decision Change

Is it possible to switch from early to regular decision at Swarthmore? I'm having second thoughts about committing early, but I still love the school. Not sure what my options are if I've already applied.

In most cases, schools, including Swarthmore College, do allow students to switch their application from Early Decision (ED) to Regular Decision (RD). However, you should act quickly given the timeline of decision announcements.

To make this change, reach out directly to the admissions office at Swarthmore. You can do this through email or a phone call. Explain your situation and ask if it's possible to move your application from ED to RD - they're typically understanding and willing to help in situations like this.

Sometimes the change request might not be approved, depending on how far the admissions office is in reviewing ED applications, but it's worth a try. It's very important to be sure about your decision before applying to ED since it's a binding commitment, so don't hesitate to bring up any concerns with the admissions office. They're there to support you through this process.

Remember though, future applications to the same or other colleges should be decided with certainty, especially when considering binding decisions like ED. This can save you from much stress during the application process.
