When is Vanderbilt's regular decision date?

I'm applying to Vanderbilt and I'd like to know when the regular decision notification comes out. As a junior trying to plan things out, knowing when I'll hear back would be super helpful. Has anyone gotten confirmation on this date yet?

Vanderbilt University typically releases its regular decision notifications around the end of March to early April. For reference, in 2025, Vanderbilt released decisions on March 26th, while in 2024 it was on March 27th. While there can be some variation from year to year, it can be safely assumed that the decision release date will usually be around this timeframe. You'll receive an email instructing you to check your admissions portal where the decision will be posted. I'd recommend keeping an eye on your emails and on their website to confirm the exact date as it approaches.

In the meantime, you might find it helpful to gauge what your chances of acceptance are at Vanderbilt. You can utilize CollegeVine's free admissions calculator to see what your odds of admission look like: https://www.collegevine.com/admissions-calculator/. This tool will take into account your grades, test scores, GPA, course rigor, and extracurriculars to give you insight into how admissions officers at Vanderbilt and hundreds of other schools will view your profile.

While the admissions calculator does not take into account the quality of your essays, you can visit CollegeVine's blog for tips on how to write the strongest essays possible (https://blog.collegevine.com/how-to-write-the-vanderbilt-university-essays/ ) or even find example essays from admitted students (https://blog.collegevine.com/vanderbilt-essay-examples/ ) to inform your writing.

And remember, while it can be anxiety-inducing to wait to hear back from schools after you've applied, it's important to stay engaged in your extracurriculars and hobbies to keep yourself from thinking too much about what's to come.

Good luck!
