Looking into a high paying trade job

I'm interested in finding a trade job after graduation that is both fulfilling and high paying. Are there specific trades that tend to pay more than others? Any guidance would really help me out!

Indeed, there are several trades that are known to pay well, and these often depend on the level of speciality, skill, and demand in the field. Here are a few commonly high-paying trades:

1. Elevator Technicians: Elevator installation and repair is a lucrative field. These tradespeople not only install and repair elevators, but also escalators, moving walkways, and similar equipment. It requires a good understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems and mechanical systems.

2. Electricians: Electricians install, maintain and repair electrical power systems, including wiring and controls. An experienced electrician can make quite a good living, and the demand for electricians is strong as new buildings need to be wired, and older buildings require electrical system upgrades.

3. Plumber, Pipefitter, or Steamfitter: These jobs also can be very well-paying. They are responsible for installing and repairing systems of pipes which carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases.

4. HVAC Technician: HVAC technicians install, maintain, and repair heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. As climate control systems become more complex, employers often prefer technicians with formal training or those who have been through an apprenticeship.

Remember, the wages can vary greatly depending on the region and the level of experience or expertise you have in your trade. Apprenticeships are a common way to gain the necessary training and experience in many of these trades while also earning a wage.

Moreover, keep in mind job fulfillment often comes from a match between your interests and job duties. Therefore, consider what kinds of activities you enjoy and are good at. If you like working with your hands, problem-solving, and working in different locations, then these trades might be a good fit for you.
