What to wear to a college interview as a girl?

I've got my first college interview soon, and I'm really stressing about what to wear. I want to look professional but also like myself. Any suggestions for outfits that strike a balance between business and personal style?

When it comes to dressing for a college interview, the goal is to look polished and professional, yet comfortable. That being said, you definitely should not feel obligated to abandon your personal style.

A classic option could be a pair of tailored trousers or a skirt (not too short, ideally knee length or just above) paired with a blouse or a neat sweater. If you prefer dresses, a knee-length dress in a solid color or minimal pattern could work well. Remember to opt for something that is comfortable and allows you to sit and move around easily.

In terms of footwear, flat shoes or low heels would be appropriate. They should be comfortable enough that you can walk around in them without discomfort.

If you prefer a more casual look, you could opt for dark-wash denim paired with a blouse or a button-up shirt. Just ensure the jeans are not ripped or overly distressed. Pair this with a pair of clean, nice looking sneakers or flat shoes.

Ultimately, remember to keep your attire on the more conservative side for a college interview, since you want to look respectful and serious about the opportunity. But within those parameters, feel free to choose professional attire that also expresses your individuality and makes you feel confident. After all, your personal style can reflect your personality to your interviewer and that's an important part of the process too.
