Does Princeton require interviews for every applicant?

I'm starting the application process for Princeton and I'm confused about their interview policy. Do they interview all applicants or is it just a select group? Any insights would be helpful!

Princeton University actually makes a concerted effort to offer an alumni interview to every applicant. These interviews, however, are primarily informational and serve as an opportunity for prospective students to learn more about the university from a former student.

It's important to understand that due to various logistical reasons, not all applicants may receive an interview offer. It might be because of the applicant's geographic location, or the unavailability or shortage of alumni interviewers in certain regions.

If you're offered an interview, it's generally a good idea to accept it. Even though the interview is not a significant factor in the admissions process, it's an additional way to express your interest in and enthusiasm for the university. However, if you aren't offered one, it doesn't reflect negatively on your application. The university reassures applicants that not having an interview won't impact the chances of admission, as the admissions committee understands that not every student will have the same opportunities to interview.
