Apply Texas Essay C samples?

Any of y'all who've done the Apply Texas application, do you have any examples of Essay C that you'd be willing to share? I'm struggling to come up with inspiration and would really appreciate it!

To give you a brief overview, Apply Texas Essay C is meant to be an opportunity for you to share a personal experience that tells something beyond your academic achievements.

The prompt for Essay C reads: "You’ve got a ticket in your hand – Where will you go? What will you do? What will happen when you get there?"

To brainstorm for this essay, think about significant personal events or experiences that have had a meaningful impact on your life, personality, or aspirations. Don't worry if your experiences don't seem extraordinary! Sometimes, the most powerful essays come from everyday moments that may not seem particularly noteworthy at first.

For example, you could write about volunteering at an animal shelter and how it shaped your understanding of empathy and community. Alternatively, you could consider discussing a time when you overcame an obstacle or faced a challenge, like discovering a new hobby during the COVID-19 pandemic, which led you to reconsider your future aspirations.

When writing the essay, aim to be authentic and let your voice shine through. The admissions committee wants to see who you are beyond your academic achievements, so share a personal story that reveals something meaningful about you.

Finally, don't forget to reflect on how the experience you're discussing has impacted your personality, worldview, or future ambitions. Explain what lessons you learned and how the experience shaped you overall.
