Preparing for a UWC Colleges Interview

Hey everyone! I'm kind of nervous because I have an interview for a UWC college soon. Has anyone gone through this process? Any advice on how to prepare or what to expect during the interview?

Many interviews revolve around getting a deeper understanding of who you are as a person. Colleges want to see your passion, values, and commitment to the UWC mission.

Be ready to talk about your background and experiences, particularly those that align with the UWC core values such as leadership, community service, volunteering, or any international/global perspective you might have.

Remember to also be familiar with and able to articulate why you want to attend a UWC college and how this fits into your plans. They are also likely to ask you about how you would contribute to the UWC community.

A useful tip for any interview is to prepare some questions of your own. It's a good way to show your interest and that you've done your research. A question about the school's specific programs or opportunities related to your career interests can be effective.

Don't forget to rehearse and feel comfortable with speaking about your values, motivations, and experiences. But don't memorize responses to possible questions. Instead, think in bullet points or short statements. You don't want to sound rehearsed.

Remember, the process isn't about finding the 'right answers' - it's about finding the 'real you'. So be honest and genuine in your responses, rather than giving the answers you think they want to hear. Good luck!
