American University Interviews: Required or Not?

I'm thinking of applying to American University and I'm wondering if they usually have interviews as part of their admissions process. Is it something they require, or does it vary by applicant?

American University does not mandate interviews for its admission process. In fact, interviews are not commonly part of the application requirement at American University. They primarily base their admission decisions on your application, essays, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores (unless you apply as test optional).
