Washington University in St. Louis does not offer formal interviews for undergraduate admissions. Rather, they offer the opportunity to schedule an informal “Bear Chat” with a Bear Ambassador! Bear Chats are available to any interested student beginning the spring before their senior year. Bear Chats allow you to spend 15-20 minutes chatting one-on-one with a current student.
For preparing, it's a good idea to make sure you're well-acquainted with both your own application materials and with WashU's programs, culture, and values. Reflect on your academic journey, personal experiences, and future goals. Organize your thoughts on why you're interested in WashU in particular, how you see yourself in WashU's community, and what you would contribute. More importantly, this is a chance for you to learn about the school! Come prepared with any questions you have for the Bear Ambassador regarding academics, campus culture, or life as a student.
