When do university interviews usually take place?

I'm trying to plan my college application timeline and want to know when universities typically hold interviews. Are they mostly in the fall or closer to spring? Any insight would be super helpful!

The timing of college interviews can vary widely by university and even by specific programs within a university. However, generally speaking, most universities conduct interviews from fall to early spring.

Many Early Decision and Early Action applicants might see interview requests come in soon after their applications are submitted, typically between October and December. For students applying in the Regular Decision round, interviews generally take place between January and March.

Remember, you usually can't request an interview yourself – colleges that offer interviews will reach out to you. If offered an interview opportunity, it's generally a good idea to take it, as it helps demonstrate your interest in the school.

It's crucial to remember that every school has its process and timeline, so it's a good idea to check the specific interview policies of the schools you're applying to. For instance, some colleges might not offer interviews at all.

In any case, it's great that you're thinking ahead and trying to plan your timeline—just remember, that each stage of the process will unfold in due time. Good luck with your college applications!
