Springfield College Rolling Admission

I'm considering Springfield College and heard they might have rolling admission. Can anyone confirm this, and if so, how does it impact the timeline for submitting my application?

Springfield College does indeed practice rolling admissions. In this type of admissions process, applications are reviewed as they are received and decisions are sent on a rolling basis, until all spaces in the incoming class have been filled. This policy can mean that applying earlier can give you a slight advantage, as there will be more open spots earlier in the cycle.

Typically, you can start submitting your application as early as August or September of your senior year, without any hard deadline. It's worth noting, however, that financial aid and housing selections are often offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so applying earlier may also increase your chances of receiving desirable financial aid and housing.

Despite the rolling admission policy, Springfield College also offers Early Decision I and II, which have deadlines of December 1st and January 15th, respectively. If you choose to apply Early Decision I, you'll usually hear back by the beginning of January. ED II results are usually announced around the beginning of February. Note that Early Decision does require you to commit upfront to attending the school if you are accepted.

Remember, even with rolling admissions, earlier applications can shine more favorably. The best advice would be to submit your application as soon as you feel it’s as strong as it can be. Ideally, aim to do this in the fall of your senior year. Good luck with your application!
