SUNY Colleges and their rolling admissions pace?

How quickly do SUNY Colleges usually respond to applications under rolling admissions? I'm applying to a few and curious about when I might expect any news.

While the State University of New York (SUNY) system has many colleges and each may respond at a different pace, most schools under the SUNY system follow a semi-rolling admissions process. This basically means they begin reviewing applications as they arrive, usually starting in November or December and continuing through until late April.

For students applying under rolling admissions, you can generally expect a response within 4-6 weeks after your application is complete. However, this can vary depending on the specific school and time you apply.

Applicants who submit earlier in the cycle may hear back sooner, while those who apply closer to the deadline may wait slightly longer. Additionally, if you’re applying to a particularly competitive or popular program, it might take a bit longer to receive a decision.

Keep in mind these are only estimates. If you haven't heard back within the expected timeframe, it's completely okay to check in with the Admissions Office. They'll be able to give the most accurate time frame.

Just remember, faster doesn't always mean better. Regardless of when you hear back, the important part is taking the time to make your application the best it can be!
