I'm reconsidering my college list and want to focus on biology programs. Do any of you know schools with strong biology departments that might still have open or late application deadlines? I don't want to miss my chance.
There are several colleges with strong biology programs that have later application deadlines (February or later), or that accept applications on a rolling basis. Keep in mind though that admissions can become more competitive the later you apply.
1. University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) is notable for its program in biological sciences and has a rolling admissions deadline.
2. Colorado State University (CSU) has a firm application deadline in February for its Biology program.
3. University of Houston (UH) has a rolling admissions deadline and offers a comprehensive Biology program.
4. University of Arizona (UA) has a rolling deadline.
5. University of Minnesota, Twin Cities also operates on a rolling admissions deadline and has a well-regarded biology program.
Remember, while your focus is on biology now, it's also vital to choose a college where you feel you could grow in many different ways - academically, personally, socially. Best of luck with your applications!
