What's the deal with the University of Miami's admissions?

I'm planning to apply to the University of Miami, but I'm not sure if they have rolling admissions. I want to time my applications correctly, so any details on their deadline policy would be awesome!

The University of Miami practices a non-rolling admission policy, meaning applications are not reviewed until after the deadline has passed. With this in mind, the school offers several application deadlines to suit your needs:

1. First, they offer Early Decision I and II. If Miami is your top choice and you are confident in your application as it stands, consider applying under one of these paths. The deadline for Early Decision I is November 1, and you'll receive a decision by mid-December. Early Decision II's deadline is January 6, with a decision notification by late February. It's important to note that these are binding plans, meaning if you're admitted, you're committed to attending Miami.

2. They also provide an Early Action pathway. The deadline is November 1, and you will hear back by late January. This is a non-binding option, so you can compare Miami's offer with others from different colleges before making a decision.

3. Lastly, Regular Decision, which might be good if you need a bit more time to polish your application. The deadline is January 6, and you'll receive a decision by April 1.

For all admission pathways, the application materials (recommendation letters, transcripts, essays, etc.) need to be in by the deadline.

You can select the admissions plan that best fits your needs and timing. The key is to stay vigilant about these deadlines and get your materials in order. Good luck with your application!
