West Virginia University Rolling Admission Details?

I'm curious about West Virginia University's rolling admission process. How does it work, and is there a final deadline I should be aware of? Planning my application timeline and would love any insights. Thanks in advance!

West Virginia University (WVU) indeed follows a rolling admission policy, which essentially means that WVU considers applications in the order that they're received until all spots in the upcoming class have been filled. WVU starts reviewing applications from August 1st for the following year's freshman class.

As far as deadlines are concerned, the final deadline for submission of undergraduate applications at WVU is August 1st for the Fall semester and December 1st for the Spring semester. However, there are a few specific programs within WVU that have fixed deadlines. For example, the nursing program has a priority deadline of March 1st. Therefore, it can be beneficial to check the specific deadlines for your intended major, if applicable.

Given the nature of rolling admission, submitting your application early in the process can have advantages. Applying early might increase your chances of securing a spot, as places are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis until spaces for the class are filled.

While waiting for a decision from WVU, keep in mind that it generally takes about two weeks to process an application after all required materials have been received. Make sure all your transcripts, test scores, and any other required documents are sent in a timely manner.

Best of luck with your application!
