How do you schedule a college visit through Naviance?

My school is using Naviance for scheduling college visits, but I'm not entirely sure how the new process works. Can anyone walk me through how to set one up? Is it as easy as they say?

Naviance is a great tool that many schools use to help manage college readiness tasks, but keep in mind it doesn't provide a direct portal for scheduling college visits. Typically, Naviance is used to track which colleges are visiting your high school, not for scheduling visits to campus.

That said, Naviance does often display a list of colleges visiting your high school. If your school uses Naviance for this, you'll find this under the "Colleges" tab and then "College Visits" or "Visit Schedule." If an interested college is visiting your school, you can sign up to attend their presentation. Depending on your school's policy, you may be able to directly sign up in Naviance or you may need to follow additional steps.

For visiting a college campus, you'll need to go directly to the college's website. Many colleges have an "Admissions" or "Visit Campus" section on their site that provides all the information you need to schedule a visit. It's also a good idea to consult with your high school counselor for additional steps or advice!

Remember, college visits are a fantastic opportunity to learn firsthand about a school's community, culture, and programs, so try to make the most out of each visit. Be prepared with a list of questions and be eager to engage with representatives and current students. Also, don't forget to take notes during your visit for future reference. Best of luck with your college search process!
