Including Exam Certificates in College Applications

When submitting a college application, do we need to include any official exam certificates or scores? I'm just trying to figure out what's necessary to include so I don't miss anything important in my application.

Each university has its own policy regarding the submission of exam certificates or scores, so you may want to check the admission requirements for the specific colleges you are interested in. However, in most cases, you do not need to physically mail or send in physical copies of your exam certificates for college application purposes.

Typically, universities accept the self-reported grades or scores of the students on the application form itself, and this includes standardized test scores like SAT or ACT as well. However, once admitted, you will need to provide official copies of your transcript and test scores to confirm your self-reported information.

Another notable point is that some schools, like the University of California schools and the California State University schools, are test-blind for the 2025-2026 application cycle, meaning these schools do not consider SAT or ACT scores at all.

Remember, the best way to find out what you need to include in your application is by checking the admission requirements of each individual college you're applying to.
