Trade Jobs That Involve Working with Animals?

Do any trade jobs involve working with animals? I love animals and want a career that lets me interact with them while still being in a trade field. Any suggestions on jobs I should look into?

Sure, there are indeed several trade jobs that involve daily interactions with animals. Here are some examples:

1. Veterinary Technician: Veterinary technicians assist vets with a variety of tasks including administering medicines, performing tests, and handling and comforting pets during procedures. This job does require an associate's degree from a vet tech program.

2. Dog Groomer: Dog groomers bathe, brush, and trim a dog's coat, clean ears, clip nails, and provide other grooming services.

3. Certified Farrier: Farriers are specialists in equine foot care, including the trimming and balancing of horses' hooves and the placing of shoes on their hooves. If you love horses, this could be a great fit for you.

4. Animal Control Officer: Though challenging, this job can be very rewarding. You'll help enforce local and regional laws related to the care and treatment of animals. Guards may work for a county, city, or state agency.

5. Pet Sitter/Dog Walker: This job requires you to care for pets while their owners are away. Tasks may include feeding, exercising, and comforting pets.

6. Wildlife Conservation Officer: Working in this field may include various tasks related to conservation efforts, enforcement of laws, and protection of natural resources and wildlife habitats.

7. Equine Dental Technician: This job involves being trained in the oral care and treatment of horses.

Remember that some of these roles entail dealing with distressed or aggressive animals and could carry a risk of injury. However, working with animals is a fulfilling endeavor for many people, and it's wonderful that you're interested in pursuing this path.
