Does Community College of Philadelphia use the Common Application?

I'm considering applying to the Community College of Philadelphia and was wondering if they accept the Common Application. If not, could anyone explain what their application process looks like?

No, the Community College of Philadelphia does not use the Common Application. Their application process is a bit different. Here's a brief rundown:

1. Apply online: Just go directly to the college's website. There, you'll find the Online Application under the Admissions and Financial Aid section. After filling in all necessary information, submit your application.

2. Submit transcripts: You'll need to provide the Admissions Office with your high school or GED transcript. College transcripts are needed if you're transferring credits or if you've taken a college-level English or Math course and wish to take another.

3. Assessment: Once your application is done, if you haven't already completed college-level English and Math, you will need to take placement tests to confirm that you're prepared for these kinds of courses. Notably, the placement test can be waived if you have sat the SAT or ACT recently and achieved certain scores.

4. Advising session: Once steps 1 through 3 are finished, you'll need to complete online New Student Orientation and an advising session. The adviser will talk you through which classes to register for, based on your intended program of study and your placement test results.

Once these steps have been completed, you're ready to register for classes. It's a fairly straightforward process, so long as you keep on top of each step. Good luck with your application!
