Does GPA transfer to another college when you transfer?

If I transfer from one college to another, does my GPA from the first school transfer to the new one, or do I start fresh? Trying to figure out how this affects my academic record.

While every college may have its own policies, typically, your GPA does not transfer when you move to a new school.
