Do dual credit GPAs transfer to college?

I'm taking a lot of dual credit classes in high school. Can anyone explain if these GPAs transfer to college and how they might affect my college GPA once I start?

In general, while dual credit courses will certainly transfer as credits to many colleges (though you may need to reach a certain grade for the credit to transfer), the grades you receive in these classes typically do not factor into your college GPA directly. Your grades in dual credit classes will generate a high school GPA, which is used in the admissibility process but won't generally affect your college GPA.
