Are there scholarships available for Barnard College transfer students?

Hey everyone! I'm hoping to transfer to Barnard College and was wondering if there are specific scholarships for transfer students. Any advice on how to find and apply for them?

Barnard College offers both merit-based and need-based financial aid, including federal, state, institutional aid and work-study opportunities for transfer students. As part of their application, transfer students are required to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile to be eligible for need-based aid.

However, it's essential to note that while Barnard meets 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students including transfers, it is not need-blind for transfer applicants. This means that the college may consider your financial need when reviewing your application.

As far as finding scholarships outside of Barnard, there are a plethora of scholarship search platforms available. One such platform is Appily, which has a searchable database of scholarships.

When applying for scholarships, remember to be conscious of application deadlines and ensure that you provide all the required information accurately. Also, be sure to write strong essays or personal statements if required, as these can play a pivotal role in securing a scholarship. The process can be highly competitive, so it's important to apply to a number of diverse scholarships to increase your chances of success.

Also, keep in mind that scholarships aren't the only form of financial aid available - don't forget to check out grants and work-study programs, as well as loan options if necessary!
